Kogi Lawmaker Begs Colleagues to Assist Journalist Battling With Cancer

Member representing Ijumu constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Olusola Kilani has called on fellow lawmakers to assist a journalist, Samuel Enimola who has been battling with sininasal cancer.

Presenting the case as a matter of urgent public importance on the floor of the House during plenary on Tuesday, Kilani stated that Enimola, a former reporter with the state-owned Graphic Newspaper, is currently working as the media officer of Kogi State House of Assembly Service Commission.

“Mr. Samuel Enimola is down with Sinonasal Cancer that has kept him bed ridden for many months now at the University College Hospital, Ibadan.

“He needs an urgent surgical operation to stay alive. He needs the sum of Five Hundred Thousand Naira for the operation,” he said.

He pleaded with members of the House to come to the aid of Mr. Samuel Enimola by raising fund for him to undergo the operation.

Kilani’s motion was seconded by Edoko Moses Ododo of Dekina/Biraidu Constituency.

In his ruling, the Speaker, Prince Matthew Kolawole, pleaded with all members to make some contributions for the ailing journalist as he is one of the assembly reporters.
