Bassa-Nge Community Applauds Gov Bello Over Appointments

Group under the auspices of Bassa-Nge Development Union ‎(BNDU) from Bassa local government area of Kogi State has commended it’s governor, Yahaya Bello for appointing sons and daughters of the Bassa-Nge extraction into various developmental positions in the state.

The National President of BNDU, Alhaji Ibrahim Nda Yusuf applauded the governor while briefing journalists in Kaduna, saying, the Bassa-Nge committee will remain grateful to the governor for that which he has done so far and which he will do in the nearest future that will further better the lives of the people of the area.

He said like oliver twist “being part of the 16 km radius of the state capital,we appeal that the government bring tremendous development to the local government ‎being the closest geographical area of Benue State that merged with Kwara State to become now Kogi State.

“We request that the governor takes as a matter of importance see to the construction of the ganaja- Shintaku bridge so as to improve and facilitate the socio-economic development ‎of the local government and by implication the state.

“Again, we shall be grateful if the schools ‎in Bassa-Nge kingdom be included in the school feeding program,and the rehabilitation and supply of drugs and equipment to Gboloko cottage hospital which. Kogi state inherited from Benue State and was last renovated in 1987.

“We also request for the renovation of the police post and quarters which was gutted by fire several years resulting into lack of accommodation for police officers which has given room for increased rate of criminality in the area.

“We are also requesting for rural electrification in the area”.

The National President who used the medium to congratulate the Governor on his victories at the Tribunal, Appeal and supreme courts, also called on well meaning individuals from the state to support the governor in his efforts to give the state a face lift.
