RE: No Igala Candidate Can Stop My 2nd Term; Bello The Daylight Dreamer

You see, there are two ways to be fooled according to Soren Kierkegaard, one is to believe what isn’t true, the other is to refuse to believe what is true. Yahaya Bello has rebuffed the palpable realism that he would be defeated in the forthcoming governorship election, even though the template shows he can’t secure his poling unit, he still sees himself as the state governor after November 2nd.

I am also in abreast with the fact that new ways with which oppression will ensue till 2023 had been charted, and with unrestrained messianic mood, he has confidently declared that no candidate from the majority can stop his second term bid.

Well, it’s good to dream, but when you dream or hope on what is discernibly implausible, then you are an architect of your own deceit. This is not farfetched, Bello and co are daylight dreamers, to believe they will continue tyrannizing the people despite the poor state of affairs under his watch. As a matter of fact, with the audacious statement, Bello is transmogrified from politicking business to a seasoned comedian.

Having read with consternation, how the governor brags on his second term bid, I became more perplexed that the purported appointees which he claimed bereft ethnic jingoism are indeed some hacked brains who see nothing other than what the governor wants to hear. They now leverage what they call disarray in the opposition to convince Bello that his second term is sure. Are they blind? Can’t they read people’s mind? How long will Bello and his anti-people mistake Kogites for fools?

Let me state without prevarication that, at worst, it’s not who emerges as governor but anything other than Yahaya Bello will be well appreciated- be it his predecessors or any member of their family. Oh yes! His predecessors may be bunch of failures but the current chronicle of despondency was not this heinous- mortality was but at minimal, and not a resultant effect of government’s incapacitation.

As a matter of sincerity, this government remains the worst so far, and I wonder what explanation Bello has for his family perhaps, his children who will soon grow up to know that their father trained them with proceeds from cruelty. I wonder what account he will give before God on the last day.

Be that as it may, the governor and his e-rats must reckon with the fact that the battle to defeat him goes beyond human imagination. It is a battle of payback for biting fingers that fed him. And on this note, I put it downright to him that the innocent civil servants who died as  a result of inabilities to lay hold of what they labored for will decide his fate, those killed in the process of strong-arming the people to vote APC back to power are on a mission of vengeance, the innocent school-dropped-out youths whose civil servant parents can’t afford their school fees will stand against the current narrative. The infant mortality that was on the high side as a result of poor medical facilities and patients dying daily because of the absence of medical professionals to admonish their medical needs which extant effects became a case of several widows and orphans will speak.

In short, to think that Bello been the enabler of these deadly acts will win an election is the greatest tragedy of the century. Even in the present of armaments his fate will still be decided by the people. It is a battle of no retreat no surrender, and though he has successfully removed opposition from the state assembly, his defeat will be historically unprecedented.

Part of the self-illusioned briefs to daily independent newspapers through his media watchdogs is quoted thus; “In Kogi of today, under the leadership of the dynamic and innovative governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the state has changed from an ethnic jingoist (sic) state to one that is closely knitted, cohesive, and ready to move forward united into prosperity”. You see, our political office holders fail mostly because they don’t have appointees that are genuine in the conduct of their given assignment, and for Kingsley, it couldn’t have been anything less.

But in a nutshell, the statement should have been “In Kogi of today, under the leadership of sycophantic and incompetent governor Yahaya Bello, the state has been closely knitted in ethnic jingoism, constantly in the headline news for every odd reason, and above all moving to the direction of been declared an IDP camp.

Under the leadership of governor Yahaya Bello, our civil servants and pensioners became beggars overnight. Under Yahaya Bello’s watch, Kogi state became a hub of illicit activities such as Kidnapping, Killing and rubbery. Under the leadership of Yahaya Bello, the citizens had to survive with arm from lawmakers who took pity in their predicament that has nothing to do with natural phenomenon but GREED. Under Yahaya Bello’s watch, we no longer celebrate democracy in an election but pray and fast constantly not to get lynched in what has become a thug of war in the state. Under governor Yahaya Bello’s watch, Kogites suffer so much hardship but are been forced to smile because if you talk, you die. Under Yahaya Bello’s watch the existentiality of people defined by traditional hierarchies no longer matters, as our genuine traditional monarchs are been replaced with confidants of evil perpetration, and the aftermath is a prevailing order at the whims and caprices of Bello’s over bearing. I Can go on and on.

Democracy has been constricted, we could not produce opposition in the state assembly because our tyrannist otherwise called HEROD detests objection, and we now worship some few elements who takes delights in playing God.

I don’t know how Bello intend to do this, but if its by gun, we will all die reclaiming the glory our state. Instead of stating the obvious and be free with their conscience, they keep telling us that PDP is in disarray, that is why they were able to win the presidential election, two out of three senatorial seats and the entire assembly seats.

Wait a minute was this the state PDP left for them? At least, even though they were looting, people got what belong to them somehow, but in APC looting and killing the people defines the game. If PDP were to be this desperate, will APC crash the gate of power? I am ashamed of the current government, because a deep look at their modus operandi will tell you that they are going nowhere.

Of course, winning the whole assembly seats is unprecedented in the history of the state, but that was easier because democracy was raped, murdered and buried after Bello assumed power. So, what you get in a government where people cannot express their minds is not farfetched.

However, governor Yahaya Bello and his APC-Kogi should understand the saying- that history book is covered with dust does not mean what is contained is not readable. Time will come when history will be reviewed, only then will the atrocious story be told better.

Again, if only my opinion will count, Yahaya Bello sir, you can still redeem your political image if only you will take the wise man’s step, by tendering unreserved apology to the people and return home honorably instead of this endless and unrealistic dreams. Because, by the time you will wake up from this delusion, I swear, either water or gari, one of dem go don pas each other. To be forewarned is to be forearmed.

I rest my case.
