Kogi youths under the auspices of Kogi Youth Leaders Forum has said the statement credited to the former Governor Audu regarding Kogi state government under the progressive leadership of Governor Idris Wada as unfortunate and unbecoming of a man of Audu status in Kogi state.

The former governor was reported to have described Gov Wada’s government as ‘beautiful nonsense’

TheĀ  leader of the forum, Alamoh Kehinde Samuel in a statement on Thursday said the statement purportedly made by Dino Melaye on behalf of the former governor is completely wild, baseless and mere fabrication aimed at distracting the Governor, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members and Kogites from fully supporting the ongoing transformation in the state.

It said the statement was a ploy by the All Progressive Congress (APC) to make its members and supporters over-confident and divert attention away from their helplessness and political irrelevance in the state. Its important to state that the Governor has been up and doing to reposition the state and all hands will have to be on deck to support the Government.

It is however laughable how Dino’s claim of plans being concluded to receive over 5000 PDP members into the APC even when in Dino’s immediate community and ward, APC members massively defected to PDP some weeks back.

It therefore called on Kogites and supporters to completely disregard the APC and its claim and come out enmasse to continue to provide support and constructive ideas to the Governor, Capt. Idris Ichalla Wada, stressing that from the look of recent happenings, the Government remains focused on the electioneering promises having worked very hard to earn the confidence and support of the people of Kogi state.
