Kogi Security Trust Fund Plans N460m Intervention for Security Agencies

Kogi State Security Trust Fund says it will generate four hundred and sixty million naira for interventions in some critical needs of security agencies in year 2021.

The Executive Chairman, Kogi State Security Trust Fund, Hon. Teina Abdulmalik stated this at the 2021 budget defense before the State House of Assembly in Lokoja.

Hon. Teina enumerated some achievements of the Trust Fund and year 2021 proposals which includes establishment of logistics base, establishment of local hunters bases across the 21 local governments, procurement of helicopter, drones and trackers, procurement of security gadgets for all security operatives in the state, procurement of patrol vehicles, among others.

The Chairman thanked Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello for all he has done to ensure the safety of lives and property of residents in the state.

Teina called on the private and corporate individuals to support the efforts of the state government in ensuring the security of the state is watertight, stressing that good security system of any state enhance trust among individuals, communities and ethnic groups, thereby creating an avenue for economic growth and investment.

Earlier, in his remarks, the Chairman, House Committee on Security, Peace and Vigilante, Hon Bello Abdullahi Balogun, assured that the committee will approve appreciate budgetary provisions that will enhance effective service delivery in the security sub -sector of the state.

Hon. Bello encouraged the Trust Fund to create a synergy between the various security chiefs in the state in implementing the security policies of the state government.
