Kogi Judiciary Proposes Magistrate Court in Itobe

The Kogi state judiciary has said that it has concluded arrangements to establish a Magistrate Court in Itobe, Ofu local government area of the state.

The State Chief Judge, Justice Henry Olusiyi, disclosed this while inspecting the structure donated by the community for the proposed Magistrate Court.

The CJ said the Court, when it commences operation will handle criminal cases hitherto being referred to Lokoja and other places outside the town.

He commended the people of the area for donating a befitting structure to be used for the Court and assuring that qualified personnel will be posted to the proposed Magistrate Court as soon as it takes off.

Speaking, the Chief of Itobe His Royal Highness, Alhaji Salihu Adaji restated the commitment of the people of the area to the take off of the Court in view of the rate of criminal matters in Itobe.
