The attention of the Obajemu of Agbadu-Bunu has been drawn to the above captioned press release purportedly written by the Odo-Ape Development Association and issued by Dr. Emily Alemika and Prof. Ehinmodu as Legal Adviser and Patron of the association.

As the Obajemu of Agbadu-Bunu, I am particularly irked by the many lies in the write-up and especially “issue” (No5) where I was personally alleged to have attended a meeting held at the palace of the Obaro of Odo-Ape with other “eminent personalities” including the Olu of Ape; where it was “agreed upon” that the name of the Agricultural and industrial zone should be called “ODO APE ALAPE

Ordinarily, I would not have belaboured myself responding to such a blackmail and outright lies but to set the records straight and to educate the innocent readers the cheap popularity and attention the write-up is meant to achieve, I make bold to say that:

  • I, HRM, Oba Joshua O. Ihinmikaiye, the Obajemu of Agbadu-Bunu has never attended any meeting where the issue of naming the Agricultural and Industrial Zone was mentioned let alone ODO-APE ALAPA
  • At the meeting which I attended, none of the alleged elites was in attendance. The only issue that was discussed was a letter written by my community (Agbadu-Bunu) to the Area Commander and DPO, Nigerian Police, Kabba, the officer in charge of SSS Kabba, the liaison officer 1 of Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area, the Obaro of Kabba, and the Olubunu of Bunu on the relationship between my community and Apaa which I argued in justification.
  • I did not, I can not and will never consent to such an arrangement as referred to in the write-up
  • I challenge the writer(s) to come forward with proof that I agreed or consented to the allegation

I demand a retraction of the embarrassing write-up and a public apology within seven days of this publication
