Comrade Akinlabi Tope Adebayo has assured teachers of spirit actions to improve their welfare and commitment to their age-long struggles.

Akinlabi, who is currently a grade level 13/4 officer, gave the assurance after announcing his intention to vie for the chairmanship position of Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Ijumu branch.

He promised to bring his knowledge, exposure and experience to bear in the collective struggle to improve the living standard of teachers in Ijumu LGA, and Kogi state.

“I hold Nigeria Certificate of Education (2000) at College of Education Oro in Kwara state and a Bachelor of Science in the year 2007 at University of Nigeria Nsukka, Enugu State. I have equally worked positively in all activities relating to good welfare of teachers within Kogi state and Nigeria in general. I intent to put my wealth of knowledge, exposure and experience to contribute effectively toward the improvement in the living standard of ijumu teachers and Kogi state.

“I am a law abiding citizen and highly have respect for the existence of humanity. It is for these reasons that I submit myself to serve the teachers by representing them in all ramifications which is to pave way for the betterment of their future. As a person who has a vision of new way of lives for our teachers, I believe it can be done,” he said.
