The Chief Medical Director of Kogi State University Teaching Hospital Anyigba, Prof Steven Edino has commended the wife of Kogi governor on the donation of 25 wheel chairs to the nine month old hospital.
The CMD in Anyigba on Thursday, applaud the wife of the governor on the choice of the university teaching hospital as one of the centers for the just concluded free medical care facilitated by the office of the wife of the governor in collaboration with National Association of Nigeria Nurses in North America (NANNNA).
He said the drugs and donations of laboratory and re-agent equipments by NANNNA will assist the hospital in no small measure towards attending to the health needs of the people.
He thanked the governor for bringing the new institution to international lime light through the donations.
In an interview with Dr Austine Ojotule, a consultant at the hospital and also the state chairman Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) Kogi chapter described the donation as a welcome development and a sign of commitment to the growth of the institution by the wife of the governor stating that the action will contribute to the quality of services and also reduce the suffering of patients that requires such services.
