Youths of Ankpa origin have declared their support for Alhaji Jibrin Isah Echocho as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate in the December 3, 2011 election in Kogi State.
A statement by the PDP Youth Leader in the area Isa Okeme, said the mandate given to Echocho at the primary election held in January should remain valid for the PDP to win the gubernatorial election in the state.
“Posterity will not forgive any youth who goes against the will of God who has brought into the race, for the first time, a credible young man like Echocho to pilot the Kogi State’s affairs. This is our chance. Echocho’s antecedents and track records of humanitarian services speak for themselves. Our youths are now the major dominant and key players in the banking sector, industrial and human capital development in our country today.
“If Echocho is not considered and adopted, the party may end up losing to Prince Abubakar Audu who is seen as another vibrant aspirant from a strong opposition party,” the statement read in part.
