Reacting, Hon. Abagwu said his administration is on the path of engineering a modern Ankpa local government as the council is enjoying the gains of good governance.

“It is always  a great privilege to work with the honorable members on this special occasion of the 7th legislative assembly.

“I want to specially thank you for the opportunity to share with you and the good people of Ankpa LG a report of our activities in the last 6 months of my administration.

“The council Leader, time will fail me, if I lost the infrastructural projects that we have embarked on in the past months, it is no joke to set on this part of a new Ankpa LG.

“My administration will continue to prioritize the security of the people, and we will work hard to prevent the recurrence of some ugly happenings in the town. We have also set up a security task force, which has been up and doing about their assigned task and also our security threats to know our weaknesses and strength so that we can amend it for the sake of our various community,” he said.

Speaking on the economy, he said, “we have succeeded in increasing the revenue generation by expanding our tax base. There is no way government can function effectively without revenue and that is why we expand our base and also giving much attention to where the revenue is coming from mostly.”

He noted that “No zone in Ankpa Local Government Area is left behind, no sector is being overlooked, no group is been underserved. We feel a renewed sense of pride when we sing the words of our dear local government”.
