Sunday Oma, Action Democratic Party (ADP) governorship aspirant in Kogi State, has called on the people of Kogi to vote out Governor Yahaya Bello for his poor performance in office.

Oma, who gave this charge in an interview with Daily Independent during his recent tour of the state, said abject poverty was written on the faces of workers in the state as a result of non-payment of salaries.

According to him, Governor Bello is not representing the interest of the people of the state, but an interest that brought him to power.

He noted that his coming out to contest Kogi governorship in 2019 received overwhelming support from the grassroots in the three senatorial districts of the state, adding that the people were looking for change of government in 2019.

Arguing that Kogi is blessed with abundant resources that need to be tapped for its development, he added that he had already come out with a blueprint to take the state out of the woods.

Oma stressed that even political appointees of the governor were being owed salaries, but dare not express their feelings for fear of sack.
