2019: Akanmode Throws Weight Behind Yagba Critical Stakeholders Resolutions

A chieftain of All Progressives Party (APC) and the Director General of Team Akanle, Pastor Dayo Akanmode has commended the resolutions of critical stakeholders from Yagba Federal constituency to endorse Dr. Toyin Akanle as the best and preferred senate candidate for Kogi West in the forthcoming 2019 general elections.

Pastor Akanmode, while speaking to journalists in Lokoja on the resolutions of the party stakeholders to adopt Dr. Akanle, commended their collective decision as regards the adoption of Dr. Akanle which according to him was based on the report of the Elders Advisory Councils from the three local governments in Yagba Federal constituency.

He hailed the decision of party leaders from the three local governments in Yagba land for conceding the senate seat to Yagba East based on equity, fairness and justice.

According to him ,the description of Dr. Akanle as the “most experienced, highly intelligent, generally acceptable, vast in knowledge with intimating credentials, the best and preferred candidate to represent Kogi west” can not be far from the truth.

Pastor Akanmode called on well meaning sons and daughters of the district to support Dr Akanle’s aspiration to represent the area at the Red chamber of the National Assembly, adding that Dr. Akanle has all it takes to make Kogi West better placed to get the best considering his exposure and vast knowledge.

It will be recalled that at the meeting of critical stakeholders of All Progressives Congress from Yagba Federal constituency held at Isanlu, endorsed Dr. Akanle as the best and most preferred candidate for Kogi West senatorial district in 2019.

The meeting, which was presided over by the Chairman of Elders Advisory Council, General Paul Okutimo had in attendance 33 out of 34 members of Elders Advisory Council from the 34 wards in Yagba Federal constituency and all local government and ward party executives.
