Kogi State is a state for all irrespective of tribe, ethnicity or religion. In the past we saw things from different perspective of sectional divide.

Going by the way of the new world of change as it is today, it is a different ball game. Gone are the days when selfish politicians take advantage of our credulity and use it to our disadvantage.

By this gesture, we are resolute in our determination to make 2016 KOGI STATE GUBERNATORIAL ELECTION an issue base, perfomance centred and purposeful venture to propagate moral rectitude and mutual co-existence. We can’t continue to thread the old path.

Some self serving politicians want to thwart this dream of a new Kogi State by creating needless enmity and confussion in the name of ethnic support. Their trades in stock are; defamation, slander and oughtright vulgar. They forget that power belongs to God.

Few of them are already crying foul; that IGALAS have marginalised EBIRAS/OKUNS. Lets check it from this perspective: since the inception of democracy, and entering the 8th SENATE session in Nigeria, KOGI CENTRAL have produced 8 SENATORS, all of Ebira tribe.

KOGI WEST have also produced 7 SENATORS, all of OKUN YORUBA tribe, with the exception of Late Senator Tunde Ogbeha, who was said to be an Okun migrant to Kotonkarfi. (mind you ‘TUNDE’ is not a KOTO name)

The smaller tribes in this case are been marginalised, by the same tribes crying foul.

Let it be known that, other tribes like: NUPE, OGORI-MAGONGO, KOTON-KARFE, BASSA-KOMO, KAKANDA, GWARI, OWORO etc are not supposed to be treated as non-existing, going by the way EBIRAS/OKUNS are treating them.

Let them also have a taste of being SENATORS in these senatorial districts.

Why are the EBIRAS/OKUN YORUBAS not availing other smaller tribes the same equity they so desire? Why are the voices of minority tribes remain unheard and silenced in their regions?

The Ebiras/Okuns want to have their way against both the minority and majority.

They keep speaking for themselves alone, ignoring all other smaller tribes. LOL! Are they insinuating that these other tribes can be treated at will? Pls give them the same opportunity you seek.

Lets advice ourselves and stop this hypocrisy. Some people benefits alot from chaos, so they wont  stop to cause mischief.

The only hope smaller tribes in Kogi State, whose voices have been silenced by these oppresive activities can boast of, is anchored on the Igala majority. That is why they always throw their weight behind any Igala candidacy.

Let it be clearly understood that, Governor Wada’s failure can not be used as a yardstick to harass the generality of Igalas.

Igalas have in the past under Prince Audu made the unheard voices of the minority tribes to be heard in Kogi state. He remains the hope of every marligned or negleted tribes. Before the last stolen mandate, he had alot of juicy plans for the minorty tribes.

You don’t coerce change, you influence change by positive attitude. We have an interesting ethnic diversity, but the ability to manage ourselves well determines how best, benefits can be derived from each other, especially the majority.

IDOMAS and TIVS have the same challenge, but the way they manage themselves is gradually giving hope to the Idomas; the handwrittings are boldly on the wall.

Democracy is a game of number and you can’t disenfanchise some individuals in Igala land, not to vote so that EBIRAS/OKUNS can be governors.

All you need to do is to bring on board a credible candidate who is acceptable to all and sundry. Then you will see your dreams and aspirations achieved. But if you insist on name calling and blackmails, then the STATUS QUO remains.

Politics till tomorrow remains a game of lobby and persuasion.

We must jettison tribal politics and gun for credibility. We need to go for people like; PRINCE ABUBAKAR AUDU whose record in the past, have proven beyond every reasonable doubt that he is a man of the people: both rich and poor, young and old, majority or minority. He remains a man of proven integrity. His landmark of service and dividend delivery, yet remains unbeatable in Kogi State history and politics. Moreover, experience counts. He was there before. People still bank on his performance base administration.

We can choose to use our diversity to our advantage, we can equally decide to use it to our detriment. Whichever way we so desire.

At this time that Kogi State needs  serious deliverance from mal-administration and incompetence. It is time to put aside bickering and inordinate grudges and work together, to first, alleviate our State from the darkness that have enveloped the state.

It is not about tribe, religion or ethnicity, it is about who can avail us the quality of life we so desire in the only state we call our own.

PRINCE ABUBAKAR AUDU STILL REMAIN OUR CHOICE. He remains our dream and hope for political emancipation.

Thanks!
