Wada Vows to Stamp Out Thuggery in Kogi

Governor Idris Wada of Kogi State, has vowed to stamp out political thuggery in  the State.

Wada who made this known, yesterday, while addressing the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, supporters during the “Thank You Visit” to Ajaka, headquarters of Igalamela/Odolu Local government area of Kogi State, said his government would not tolerate any act of indiscipline from any one.

Wada warned that anybody caught in act of hooliganism would face the wrath of law no matter how highly placed, advising parents not to allow their children to be used as political thugs in the state.

He assured that the state government would continue to partner with the security agencies to ensure continuous peace in the state.

The governor tasked the traditional rulers and community leaders to be security conscious and promptly report any suspicious movement to security agencies in their areas.

Wada added that security was everybody business and that the community leaders were expected to be part of security in their areas.

In his remarks, Chairman of PDP in the state, Alhaji Hassan Salau, debunked the rumour that he has anointed a candidate from Idah for the House of Representative, assuring that a level playing field would be created for all aspirants.
