Wada Inspects Ongoing Work At New 500 Units Housing Estate

Contractors handling the Kogi State Proposed 500 unit Bond Housing Estate, have been asked to justify government’s huge investment in providing housing for its people.

Kogi State Governor, Capt Idris Wada gave the appeal when he inspected work on the on going work at the proposed 500 unit housing estate at Ganaja and Crusher areas of Lokoja.

The Governor who was represented by his Deputy, Yomi Awoniyi, appealed to the contractors to speed up the pace of work as the government is committed to timely completion of the houses for its citizenry .

The Governor commended the quality of work so far carried out by the contractors, but called for much more commitment going forward that will lead to the delivery of the timely completion of quality work.

Capt Wada assured those who may have loss their properties to the ongoing housing estate not to entertain any fear, promised that compensation will be paid to those concern as soon as the issues of verification and computation is addressed by the ministry concern.

The Governor disclosed that the location of the estate calls for a redesign of a new layout to enable the area accommodate more building, assured that government is resolutely committed to the accommodation needs of its citizens.

The governor described shelter as a necessity of man said the present administration will not rest on its oars in given it a pride of place.
