Kogi Central Forecast Group, KCFG, has congratulated member representing Okene/Ogori-Magongo in the House of Representatives,  Honourable Ahmed Tijani Damisa on rerun tribunal victory.

The President of KCFG, Comrade Yakubu Nazir Abdulhakeem, in press statement, celebrates with Damisa and all his well-wishers in Kogi State and beyond.

Damisa’s victory at the rerun polls was challenged at the tribunal by the bared candidate of the the All Progressives Congress, APC,  Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Bello. The tribunal, today, struck out Bello’s petition for lack of competence.

Comrade Nazir  described the verdict as not the victory of Tijani Damisa alone but that of the good people of the Okene/Ogori Magongo Federal Constituency and Kogi Central in general. He added that the ruling of the tribunal is a vindication for the party, PDP, and a triumph of democracy.

The group leader described Tijani Damisa as the face of people of Okene/Ogori Magongo Federal Constituency and a symbol of equity and justice for the Constituency. He said that his victory is another feather to his cap and another crown of glory for his doggedness and resilience.

The group advice Tijani Damisa to continue the good job he has started in his first tenure because time is very precious in politics as his first tenure speaks for his second tenure. He noted that the victory in all the political struggles will be for the people and the masses whose will and aspiration have been upheld  by the tribunal and upon whose mandate the candidates are serving in their various capacities.

He further appealed to those who lost at the electoral tribunals not to take the laws in their hands by resorting to violent demonstration as reaction to the tribunal rulings as this is capable of breaching the peace in the various constituencies. He advised them to always channel their grievances through the appropriate quarters which, in the circumstance, is a recourse to the appeal court if they still have chance.

“Almighty God, who has richly prospered you, Hon Ahmed Tijani Damisa, and ordered your every step these past years, will continue to bless you with good health and fulfillment in the many more years of worthy service ahead of you”, he prayed.
