PZ Renovates Dilapidated Classrooms In Kogi Schools

As part of its corporate social responsibility, PZ Cussons Foundation has renovated a block of four classrooms and a library at Okuta Dudu High School, OdoEre in Yagba West local government area of Kogi State.

The Foundation is managed by a- 15-member board of trustees and funded by PZ Cussons Nigeria PLC to execute its corporate social responsibility programme in education, provision of potable water, health and roads rehabilitation.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, the chairman, PZ Cussons Nigeria PLC, Dr Kola Jamodu lauded the contributions of the company towards the Nigerian economy adding that the company has kept faith with the country since it started operation centuries ago.

According to him, “The company will continue to grow and expand its operational mandate in imparting technical and managerial skills that will make life better for Nigerians”.

In his remark, a member of the Board of Trustees, Engr Tunde Oyelola, said the Foundation has executed over 48 projects across the country stressing that about five projects located at Lokoja, Isanlu and now Ode Ere have been cited in Kogi in the past.

He urged the beneficiaries to make the best use of the facilities and maintain them for upcoming students as a way of improving education in the state.
