The All Progressives Congress (APC) Stakeholders Forum, yesterday rejected allegations by the APC Elders Vanguard, that the inability of APC to record victories during the just concluded state Assembly elections in Kogi State is as a result of the governorship ambition of the former governor of the state, Prince Abubakar Audu.

APC Stakeholders Forum in a press statement signed by its coordinator and candidate of the APC for Yagba federal constituency in the last National Assembly elections, Engineer Kayode Adegbayo stressed that the position of the Elders Vanguard was designed to misinform the President-elect, Gen. Mohammadu Buhari and portray the former Kogi governor in bad light.

“To put the records straight, Prince Abubakar Audu, the former Kogi governor performed better than any governor the state has ever produced and as leader of the party in the state, he has also provided the desired leadership.

“Every meaningful project in Kogi today was established by this man, the state university, polytechnic, Lokoja-Ajaokuta road, Kogi Stadium, commissioners quarters, Stella Obasanjo library, Radio Kogi.”
