Senator Ahmed Salau Ogembe, representing Kogi Central Senatorial District and Leader of the PDP in the Zone, has successfully secured one the two positions zoned to the state at the party North central zonal congress, which took place in Abuja.
After political negotiations and horse trading, Ogembe successfully sponsored Honourable Abdullahi Mohammed from Okene LG for the position of PDP North Central zonal ex-officio.
The choice of Hon Abdullah Mohammed was unanimously adopted by all stakeholders and delegates to the congress, returned him unopposed.
In such a short time at hallowed Chambers of the National Assembly, Senator Ogembe has shown traits of capable political leadership and ability to fight for the right of his people.
This is a great feat he has achieved for Kogi central PDP. For a very long time, the Kogi Central zone has been marginalized in national and zonal executive positions in the PDP.
Hon Abdullahi Mohammed is the former PDP youth leader of Idoji ward in Okene local government.
