Ohiare Traces Restiveness in Ebiraland to Joblessness

Lack of jobs has been identified as the major factor responsible for restiveness and other forms of social ills among the youths of the central senatorial district of Kogi State.

This view was expressed by Senator Muhammed Salami Ohiare during the visit of elected members of the National Assembly from Kogi Central to Tao FM Radio at Kuroko-Adavi to assess the level of damage done to the radio station.

Senator Ohiare who condemned the attack on the radio station, believed the act was perpetrated by those who don’t have the fear of God.

He then promised that the elected members of the National Assembly would liaise with other stakeholders to ensure that the radio station comes on board as soon as practicable.

Senator Ohiare also promised that the elected members would ensure that jobs are created for the youths of the area through the revitalization of Ajaokuta Steel and Itakpe Iron Ore Mining companies.

The elected representatives who also paid a courtesy visit on the Ohinoyi of Ebira land, expressed serious concern over the destruction done to the only communication medium in Kogi central and they urged the people of the area to reflect on the past, as the present happenings is not in the character of the people.

While welcoming the delegation, the Ohinoyi of Ebira, Dr Ado Ibrahim, congratulated the elected members over their recent victory at the polls and expressed optimism that they would deliver democracy dividends to the people.

The Ohinoyi who condemned all forms of misdeeds in the area, prayed that the perpetrators would be exposed.
