The national coordinator of Okun youth congress, Mr Opeyemi Duke has described as child’s play the purported endorsement of Mr Olusunle as Kogi West PDP Senatorial consensus candidate.
While reacting to the outcome of the meeting held at the instance of those Mr Opeyemi described as political pensioners who have been dragging okun people backward for years, he said; our people must be conscious of this elements who do not want us to develop politically in okun.
At this critical time in our political history, we must look inward for experience people to represent us at the federal level, this is not time to experiment by bringing mediocres on board or people who will learn on the job of legislation. Our voice must be heard at the federal level, we already have a two term senator in person of Senator Smart Adeyemi who is doing a good job in the senate and adding value to our constituency. World over, people don’t change a winning team, this explains why the Idoma people of Benue state endorsed senator David Mark for the 5th time in the Senate Mr Opeyemi said.
I want to urge our people in Kogi west especially the members of PDP to ignore the purported endorsement as some of the actors of the kangaroo endorsement are not even members of PDP. We have learnt our lesson and we will not sacrifice performance and good representation on the alter of rotation.
