Kogi SUBEB Employees Told To Exercise Right To Vote

Workers at the Kogi State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB have been enjoined to exercise their civic responsibility in the forth coming general elections in the country.

The Executive Chairman Kogi State Universal Basic Education Board, Mallam Nuhu Ahmed gave the admonition on Wednesday while addressing members of staff at the Board Headquarters in Lokoja.

“Recent research has shown that some civil servants in the state develop cold feet towards exercising their franchise,” Mallam Ahmed said in a release signed by the board’s spokesperson, Abubakar Shuaibu Adejo.

He noted that as engine room of the government and responsible citizens of the society, it becomes imperative for them to play a part by casting their votes in order to determine who governs them.

According to the SUBEB boss “civil servants are key players in the day to day running of government business, therefore should be security conscious of their environment, stay away from trouble spots at the polling centers as well as preach the gospel of peace before, during and after the elections to their followers”

Mallam Ahmed commended the personnel for their support and contributions in moving the basic education forward since he assumed duty.

He however reiterated his resolve to running an integrated approach to administration aimed at harnessing best talents in the battle to make public schools work again.
