Kogi Central 2015: Group Hails Ogembe’s Emergence

A group under the aegis of Good Leadership Forum based in central senatorial district of Kogi State has commended the leadership of the People Democratic Party (PDP) and the state government for conducting a free and fair senatorial primary in the district.

The group also thank the delegates for their massive votes for Alhaji Ahmed Salawu Ogembe who emerged as the winner of the election, saying that what has happened is a clear indication that democracy in being deepened in Nigeria, calling on stakeholders to sustain the tempo.

Spoke person of the forum, Mallam Yusuf Yahaya Ondeku stressed that the incumbent Senator, Senator Nurudeen Abatemi who lost the primary to Ogembe should accept defeat and work hand in hand with the newly elected candidate to deliver the district for PDP at the forthcoming general election.

Ondeku commended the people of Kogi Central for their peaceful conduct during the primaries across Kogi Central.

” The way and manner the people conducted themselves is very impressive. The delegates have chosen the candidate of their choice. We will put all our ace together to ensure that deliver the district to People Democratic Party”. he noted .
