Jide Omokore, controversial Nigerian oil industry businessman, is rumored to be dating Porsha Williams, star of the American reality show “Real Housewives of Atlanta”. He becomes the second Nigerian businessman that is alleged to be connected to one of the show’s cast members. The other, model and former Miss USA Kenya Moore, was rumored to be seeing another wealthy Nigerian businessman.
Reports which broke yesterday claim that Omokore, 60, bought Williams, 33, a $500K custom Rolls Royce. The controversy lies in the fact that Omokore is married to Angella Ebagua, a top bank executive.
Further, the source who broke the story claims that the billionaire businessman’s wife is understandably not happy with news of the affair, and has threatened physical action against Williams.
Omokore remains central to an array of high-profile financial deals which concern the President Jonathan and Diezani Alison-Madueke, Minister of Petroleum Resources. Revelations last year from the former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, implicated Omokore in a massive $6 billion looting scheme. Omokore and other businessmen are said to have shared the hefty sum, taken from proceeds of crude oil sales, and shared it amongst themselves.
He is further alleged to be engaged in fuel subsidy scams and shady dealings involving private jets for both Alison-Madueke and President Jonathan.
