The leadership of Kabba/Bunu Supreme Elites Council, a group of progressive elites interested in a Kabba/Bunu total emancipation and development has declared that Honourable Nathaniel Taiwo is still the preferred candidate for 2015 House of Assembly.
In the statement released by Hon. Durowaiye Saint Peters, who is also a councilorship aspirants in the LG call on the delegates to go ahead and make their choice without any fear of rigging.
According to him, “our attention was drawn to a recent press statement released by one Femi Olugbemi accusing Kabba/Bunu leaders of being serviced and as a result have concluded plans to rig the PDP House of Assembly primary election in favour of Hon. Taiwo Nathaniel.We regard such statement as derogatory and insultive to the LG PDP Leaders.
“Before setting the record straight, we wish to also state that the accusation will be taken as a declaration of war against the PDP Leaders in Kabba/Bunu and a desperate attempt to ridicule the party in the Local Government. Firstly, Kabba/Bunu PDP leaders are men and women of integrity, capacity and influence whose conscience can not be bought or serviced as Femi Olugbemi of Prince Kolawole Campaign Organisation had posited.
“Resorting to cheap blackmail and false allegation against Kabba/Bunu PDP leaders will not be tolerated and such cases will be directed to the disciplinary department of the party for proper reaction.Its not only an insult on our leaders but also a slap to the party as well.
“The so called Femi Olugbemi should be invited for questioning and subsequently sanctioned by the party if he is actually a card carry member of our great party otherwise a legal action should be taken against him.We shall make known our findings in due course who really is this anti party personified Femi Olugbemi attempting to drag the name of our leaders in the mould.
“Secondly, its totally unacceptable and out of common sense for Femi Olugbemi to falsely claim Hon. Nathaniel is not the people’s choice even when its clear and known to all that Hon. Taiwo Nathaniel has been in the front line of purposeful leadership and representation of our people in the House of Assembly for over three years.
“One will also wonder how a man who is said not to be wanted by his people won the House of Assembly elections in 2011 after successfully transforming Kabba/Bunu Local Government Council as the executive Chairman for four years.
“It is either Femi Olugbemi has lost touch with realities on ground in the constituency or he is acting out of insensitivity, desperation and frustration of losing out in the primaries. Hon. Taiwo Nathaniel, a man who has done so much for his constituency and deserve to be reelected has no plan whatsoever to rig or service anyone to be reelected as he remain the choice of the people. It is only God that can give power not propaganda neither campaign of calumny. The people should therefore be aware of subscribing to any false alarm raised by ignorant and wicked individual.
