Idah Rerun Polls: Gov Yahaya Bello Congratulates Haruna Musa Idoko On His Election Victory

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has congratulated the winner of the Idah State Constitituency Supplementary poll held on Saturday July 23, 2016, Hon. Musa Idoko of the All Progressives Congress for a landslide victory, stating that the APC is stronger than it was in 2015 in the State.

The Governor who spoke through a press release signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Kingsley Fanwo , said the peaceful conduct of the election shows the high orientation of the people towards the electoral credibility agenda of the present administration of President Muhammadu Buhari .

He thanked APC leaders and faithful across Kogi East Senatorial District for the way and manner the electioneering was conducted, urging political appointees from the District to keep affecting the lives of their people positively in order to make the party remains unbeatable in the State.

“Today, the people of Idah were convincing in their affirmation of their belief in the ideology and development trend of the APC-led administration in our dear State. I want to thank the Kogi electorate for sending a message to the outside world that what we are doing here have the approval of the Kogi people.

“Our party, the All Progressives Congress will continue to give quality leadership to the State as we hope to replicate the giant stride of the party at the centre.

“We have dedicated this cherished victory to the people of Kogi State who have remained patient with the pains of our reforms. We are gradually accessing the promise land.

“Hon. Haruna Idoko Musa is an experienced administrator and legislator, whose wealth of experience will no doubt, come handy in our drive to make Kogi one of the five most developed states in Nigeria”.

The Governor said his administration will soon unfold a historic Agricultural Masterplan that will redefine the direction of the State and refocus it to a market-driven economy. He said his administration will continue to impact on the standard of living of the Kogi people.
