The Kogi APC Consolidation Group has dissociated itself from Kogi Central/West Forum for Equity and Justice.

The spokesperson of the group, Daniel Ayodele described the forum as “strange bed fellows” populated mostly by aggrieved PDP members and failed politicians who worked against the APC in the last general election.

Daniel who was reacting to the group’s purported stakeholders meeting in Abuja, faulted the communique issued at the meeting, saying it is diversionary and divisive.

He noted that most of the politicians in that meeting have occupied strategic positions at the federal level, without any meaningful contributions to the state or at local level.

According to him, there is an ongoing consultations among the key stakeholders of APC in the state on the issue of power shift. “Our elders are meeting on the possible, simple way of resolving the issue, not this overnight forum approach.”

Daniel who was speaking in Kabba, Kogi State said, PDP is to be blamed for the backwardness of the state-.

“It is PDP that ruined the state, during the tenure of Prince Abubakar Audu, Kogi State was one of the fastest growing state in Nigeria. He won seven prestigious awards as the best performing governor in the country in key sectors; Education, Health, Housing, Roads etc.”
