Former Deputy Governor, Mourn late Okada Chairman

Yomi Awoniyi, immediate past Kogi State Deputy Governor, has described as so shocking and sad the death of Comrade Bamidele Olaniyan, the State Chairman of Nigerian Motorcycle Transport Union.

In a condolence message, Awoniyi described late Olaniyan, as one who made the Okada Union an envy, said his contribution greatly repositioned the union to be reckoned with as a positive force amongst trade unions.

The former Deputy Governor, lamented the untimely death of late Olaniyan, said his death has taken away a role model of hard work and one that exemplifies dignity in labour for the youths of the state.

Awoniyi, said his death has created a vacuum, described his sense of organization and attribute of mobilization the late Olaniyan is blessed with, as qualities that would be greatly missed by the PDP in the West Senatorial District and the state in general.

While he commiserate with the immediate family, late Olaniyan left behind, Awoniyi consoled the extended family of the deceased activists, urged them to take solace in the good name their son has built for himself in service to fatherland.

While he prayed God to grant the immediate family members of late Olaniyan the fortitude to bear the loss, Awoniyi particularly, sympathized with the Okada Union in the state for what he called a great loss.

While he said the state PDP and the former administration of Capt Idris Wada, would forever remember the contribution made by late Olaniyan, the former Deputy Governor, in the statement signed by his Media Aide, Abu Micheal, prayed God to grant the decease eternal rest.

Late Olaniyan, hails from Ekinrin Adde, in Ijumu LGA of Kogi State, died at age 47, was until his death the State Chairman of the popular Okada Riders Association.
