Confluence Queens Empower Players on Skill Acquisition

Over Forty female players of the Kogi state owned Confluence Queen Football Club, Lokoja have benefited from 3 day skill acquisition scheme organized by a national youth service corp member Marian-Roy Onwuata of the Kogi State Command.

The players were thought the arts of bag makings of different brands and sizes, Local cloth tye and dye, soap making and local creams.

The scheme that was organized in conjunction with the management of Kogi united and Confluence football club was to prepare the minds of female players for alternative sources of income after the their retirement from professional active football career.

The coordinator, Marian-Roy Onwuata said the 3-day programme  was aimed at impacting basic skills on women players so that they will become self employed before and after retirement from active foot balling.

She praised the club management for the opportunity to impact the training to the Wada Queens.

Chairman of Kogi State owned clubs, Abdul Sule commended the youth corp member for introducing the Confluence Queen players to alternative source of incomes, a thing he said will go a long way to assist them after retirement.

He urged his players to take the scheme serious and assured them the support of the management of the state own team to better their lots on and outside the field of play.

The occasion was witnessed by top government functionary, Club officials and other dignitaries within and outside the state.
