Capt Wada is Education-friendly – SUBEB boss

The Executive Chairman, Kogi State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Mallam Nuhu Ahmed has described the state governor, Capt. Idris Wada, as education-friendly.

The SUBEB boss, who disclosed this recently in his office in Lokoja, in an exclusive interview with The Graphic, revealed that the governor has brought about significant development to the state‘s education sector.

Mallam Ahmed commended the governor for the establishment of two basic secondary schools in Okene and Anyigba.

He stressed that the governor means well for the educational development of the state and therefore urged teachers in various fields across the state to be hard-working, by ensuring that they justify their salaries.

He also enjoined them not to give in to rumours, stressing that their focus should be on how to collectively move basic education in the state forward.

‘’ I’m still a teacher, and I will still perform my role as a teacher. I urge teachers in the state to identify with Nigeria Union of Teachers to avoid embarrassment,’’ he advised.

The SUBEB boss also called on parents and guardians not to relent in their support for the present administration in the state; as he urged all and sundry to rally round the state government to enable it succeed in its transformation agenda.
