2016 CJN Cup: Yahaya Bello Advocates Spirit of Sportsmanship

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has urged Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of sportsmanship in all actions to promote harmony in the country.
The governor made the call at the opening ceremony of 22nd Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN Sports Competition at the Confluence Stadium, Lokoja on Thursday.
Governor Bello noted that not only sporting events should be approached without do or die affairs but other area of involvement.
He commended the organizers, the National Sports Association for Judiciary, NASAJ for sustaining the competition for 22 years adding that competition of such nature worth supporting as it would improve togetherness among the judiciary family in the country.
Governor Bello however promised total support towards a successful events as well as optimum hospitality throughout the event.
Earlier, Chief Justice of Federation, Justice Mohammed Mamoud who declared the game open commended the host state and NASAJ for colorful organization which has promised to be the best ever in history of the competition.
Represented by Justice of Supreme Court, Justice Suleiman Galadima, Justice Mamoud said the competition was aimed at promote mental and physical fitness, popularize the image of judiciary through sports, strengthen the workforce and promote friendship among the judiciary family in the country.
Meanwhile, Kogi State Judiciary won gold medal in the march past event. Federal High Court, Abuja won silver while Supreme Court, Abuja clinched the bronze.
In the football competition played to officially open the competition, the men of Kogi State judiciary narrowly lost 0-1 to the National Industrial Court.
Suleiman Mansur scored the lone goal in the 38th minute.
Over 20 state judiciary and 12 affiliate judiciary bodies are taking part in the 22nd edition.
Games that are competing in 11 sporting events which include football, athletics, volleyball, chess, scrabble, Ayo, drought, table-tennis, among others.
