​Ebira Youths Condemn Attack on Okehi Administrator

The Ebira Youth for Peace, Good Governance and Development has condemned what it described as attempt meant to distract the Chief Administrator of Okehi Local Government Area, Hon Abdulraheem Ohiare.
Speaking with newsmen in Ogbagede  recently, President of the Group, Hon Aliyu Salihu, said  Hon Abdulraheem Ohiare, should rather be commended for turning the Local Government around at a time when there is widespread concern over the decayed infrastructures in Okehi Local Government Area .

The group said,it is on record that the current Administrator conducted the affairs of the Council in the most transparent, accountable and judicious manner since he assumed office as  the administrator and should not be rewarded in a manner that suggests Okehi  people  are ingrates.
The Group spokesman said; “those sponsoring the allegations against Hon Ohiare  do not have the interest of  Okehi and the entire Ebira Nation at heart. The stage is open for any qualified person that will double the efforts already put in place,especially on the pedestal of development as demonstrated by Ohiare within eight months.

 

The Administrator had   ensure the rapid growth of Okehi Local Government, not minding any ethnic or political affiliation. Hon Ohiare ,should therefore be allowed to focus on his work irrespective of party deferences” he said.

The group pointed out that the current attempt by the  Kogi state House of Assembly to suspend Hon Ohiare and four of his colleagues over a trumped of charges was uncalled for and unacceptable to the youths in particular and the entire people of Okehi Local Government, particularly when it is being done through trumped up corruption allegations.
Hon Salihu, appealed to Governor Yahaya Bello,   to called on the legislative arm on the need to make law that will have direct bearing to the lives of Kogites,and strengthen the state by finding out and providing what it need to excel instead of entertaining frivolous petitions.
In another development, an elder and chieftain of All Progressive Congress, APC,Alh Abdullahi Yakubu,has condemned the action of kogi state house of Assembly.
Speaking with Newsmen at Ogbagede,the headquarters of Okehi Local Government, Abdullahi said:” the suspension of Abdulraheem Ohiare our Chief  administrator by the house didn’t come to some of us as a surprise, because since he assumed office Eight months ago,this young man has done what his predecessors couldn’t do throughout their tchairmHe explained that within the period under review, Ohiare was able to opened feeder roads,renovates  health centres,suck boreholes, improved security and empowered over 5000 youths and women,” he said
He said with this tracks of achievements, we are awere that the third columnist are at work,and they’ll do everything to within their means,including the failed and malicious lies against Ohiare that he spent over N50million on the 40th years anniversary of the creation of Okehi Local Government, bring him down,with Allah on his side they’ll not succeed.
He commended the state Governor, Alh Yahaya Bello over what he described as” saving the state from members who are desperate on  the use of power to cause disharmony in the state”.
Meanwhile, Hon Abdulhareem Ohiare thanked the people of Okehi Local Government for their support.

The Administrator who spoke with journalists in his office, assured the people of his determination to continued with the good work he stated,stressing further that” the era of public looting and sharing of the Commonwealth of Okehi people is over.
He said we cannot be detract by our detractors,who still believe in old order,the earlier they realise that were are in an era of  New Direction under the amiable leadership of Alh Yahaya Bello,who believed in accountability and transparent leadership the better,”he said.
He commended His Excellency,Alh Yahaya Bello for his Democratic dispositions and quick intervention over what he called” unfair judgement by the assembly against us”
